The return of Creepy

Oh, joy! Dark Horse is reprinting the original issues of Warren Publishing's legendary Creepy magazine! If you've never heard of it, the Wikipedia entry will bring you up to speed. In a nutshell, from 1964 until 1983, Creepy unleashed macabre tales of horror created by the best comic book artists of its time. Creepy was published in black & white in a magazine format to avoid the seal of the Comics Code Authority, the self-imposed industry body that rates the content of comics. The Dark Horse collection preserves this original format. This is a collector's wish come true and a great opportunity for new comic book fans to discover the work of masters like Al Williamson, Archie Goodwin, Wally Wood, Richard Corben, Berni Wrighston, Alex Toth, Fernando Fernandez, Esteban Maroto, Bruce Jones, Frank Frazetta, Alfredo Alcala and Neal Adams. If some or most of these names don't ring any bells, well, my friends, I'm thrilled for you: A world of beautiful gore awaits you.
